How long does forgiveness take?

In these modern times of speed and instant access (e.g. any info can be found quickly on the internet), can the message of God still keep up to the speed? How long does it take to receive forgiveness? Days? Hours? The Lord provides immediate forgiveness to a humble heart who turns to him in repentance. The almighty creator God is not outdated, he is faster than any human invention can be.
