How Magic Made London - From the Bronze Age to now - Introducing my new series about the OCCULT!

from Macabre London

If 2025 was the year of criminals for Macabre London then 2026 is the year of Magic!I'm so excited to be sharing my new series with you in this introduction episode. I'll be letting you in on my plans for this series, how I'll be exploring things and just what I'll be covering.I'll be taking things all the way back to the very beginnings of belief in London before it was even called London.Starting with an introduction to the occult and exactly what that means plus what you can expect in the first few episodes- spoiler alert, we'll be going over the first time London burned in the great fire that may have been caused by a goddess. But for the moment, I'm going to be introducing what this series is all about, how you can get involved and for the first time, welcoming experts to teach you AND me about these incredible esoteric worlds that we've yet to delve down. This will still be the Macabre London you know and love and I'll still be following real life stories which are linked to the occult.Expect tales of prehistoric beliefs, how London was made alongside the druids, Roman curses, medieval witch hunts, how London had a queen who was assisted by a magician, the search for gold, the science behind divination, how the tarot was formed, the Victorian obsession with psychics and psychedelics and how the Golden Dawn helped to bring about more new spiritual ideas in London than has possibly been seen ever since. We'll zoom into the astral realm of war time London and beyond into the occult resurgence of the 1970's then all the way up to the modern day and how Hackney may be a new spiritual portal! So if you're interested in the strange, then this series is for you!So if you're interested in magic, the occult, historical beliefs and just how the religion we know today was developed and forged in the old fires, with the occasional human sacrifice thrown in, then make sure you join me, this is just the beginning!------------------------If you love British true crime, unsolved mysteries, and historical murders, don’t miss this episode! Dj Paulo Moreno Dj 🇬🇧 Sound selections born from a knowledge of cause could be a way to describe Paulo Moreno.Always connected to the music and entertainment industries, the artist had a late awakening to djing, but no less dazzling for that. It was in London that he embraced the DJ impetus and performed regularly in renowned clubs and events such as Fabric London, Fire, Área, Heaven, Club No65, Union, Egg, Coronet and the Summer Rites festival, but he didn't stop there. The following years witnessed Paulo traveling all over the world to delight all those who listen to him with his sets full of depth, versatility, and energy. Portugal brought him a residency at Kremlin nightclub who gave him international recognition, regularly playing alongside names like Dennis Ferrer, Steve Lawler, Mendo, Prok and Fitch, and Hobo, Alan Fitzpatrick, Anja Schneider, Dennis Cruz, Goncalo, Anna, just to name a few.🇵🇹 Seleções sonoras nascidas de um conhecimento de causa poderia ser uma forma de descrever Paulo Moreno.D CBS Radio Mystery Theater goldenclassics CBS Radio Mystery Theater (a.k.a. Radio Mystery Theater and Mystery Theater, sometimes abbreviated as CBSRMT) was a radio drama series created by Himan Brown that was broadcast on CBS Radio Network affiliates from 1974 to 1982, and later in the early 2000s was carried by the NPR satellite feed. The format was similar to that of classic old time radio shows like The Mysterious Traveler and The Whistler, in that the episodes were introduced by a host (E. G. Marshall) who provided pithy wisdom and commentary throughout. Unlike the hosts of those earlier programs, Marshall is fully mortal, merely someone whose heightened insight and erudition plunge the listener into the world of the macabre (in a manner similar to that of The Man in Black on yet another old time radio program, Suspense). As with Himan Browns prior Inner Sanctum Mysteries, each episode of CBS Radio Mystery Theater opened and closed with the ominous sound of a creaking crypt door, accompanied by Marshalls disturbing utteran Innovation Zero 2023 Innovation Zero Innovation Zero exists to accelerate meaningful action towards a low-carbon economy and society, and our mission is to build and connect a global network of innovators, funders, businesses and policymakers.Hear from the thought leaders and pioneers that took to the stage at Innovation Zero 2023 to deepen your knowledge in the transformation to a low-carbon economy. You can find recorded versions of these sessions here: https://www.innovationzero.com/content-centreWe will return to Olympia London, from April 30 to May 1, 2024. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia )
