How Michael's Rule aims to boost Aus music scene | Music News
from Homebrewed: An Australian Music Podcast
Michael McMartin, the late, great artist manager who guided the career of Hoodoo Gurus for more than 40 years, was a big champion for Australian music. One policy he, and Hoodoo Gurus live engineer and Coastie Marshall Cullen pushed for was that an Australian must support touring bands in Australia. Now, a music body is pushing for policies to be adopted to help support the Australian music scene in its darkest of days, with the initiative known as 'Michael's Rule'.
