How Native Herbal Medicine Impacts Your Health

from Chip Talks Health · host Chip Paul

Indigenous healers understood holistic practices of health. If someone was sick or ailing, the process to help them involved the entire community. There was no "one pill" solution to health. In order to get someone well, that person needed to be counseled about the ailment they were afflicted with. Then the medicine man would suggest herbs that need to be taken and behaviors that needed to be modified. In some cases this involved fasting or intermittent fasting. The medicine man would then enlist the help of the family and of the community to HELP the afflicted individual adhere to the treatment plan. Communities would get together frequently to pray and fast for healing in larger ceremonies. These ceremonies involved singing and dancing which are both known to stimulate the immune system.https://truemedx.com/blogs/about-truemedx
