How do I change you? This is the daily service podcast with Anthony. In other words, how do I change others? Well, bad news, you can't, right?

Because it is the other person's call, but you can certainly help. You can create an environment that will tickle the appetite of someone else's change and hopefully the good kind of change, right? The Kaizen, the Japanese call it Kaizen, the good kind of change, right? Kai is change, Zen is good.

Even as we speak, we're handling several campaigns and cases in our anti-human trafficking organization called to rescue lives have been changed. And how you might ask? Well, just for you, I looked at the word Kaizen and I came up with this framework that I hope will be practical to help you change or help change others. Number one, K, keep in mind the interests of those you wish to help change.

It's not about you, not about succeeding in your efforts, the personal fulfillment in making a difference or even the exercise of your calling. Okay, those things count for something, but ultimately it should be for the good or the best interest of the changey, if we can call them that. Keep in mind interests of those who need the change. Number two, allow the person you are influencing to change the changey, to make the decision to change for himself or herself.

If they decide to change out of pressure, you know, it is fear, annoyance, that's not out of conviction. And with that conviction, there is no firm foundation. Allow the person to decide. Number three, influence through a positive disposition, not just a forceful position.

John Maxwell, those who get along with you will go along with you. And that includes the efforts, right, to change them along the way. Number four, zero in Z on the changey's learning style. The learning style is closely related to the changing style.

For example, there's a person love to listen. So there is the auditory preference. Does the person want to see something before he or she changes? Then there's the visual, right, preference.

Or does the person want to try things out for themselves, right? Kinesethetic to participate wholeheartedly. Zig Ziglar reminds us whenever I want to sell anything, I remember how I want to buy number five and trust the person to God. I just have to say it for it is he who moves hearts and who inspires people to embrace in your way of life.

And number six, nurture a relationship with the changey that values the actual person, not just the decision to change. Again, Maxwell reminds us leaders touch a heart before they ask for a hand. That spells kai zen. Lemony's ticket ends are disturbing message today.

And I quote, love can change a person the way a parent can change a baby awkwardly and often with a great deal of mess.
