How our Child's Cancer Helped Strengthen Our Marriage with Andrew and Whitney Martin

Today's guests are Andrew and Whitney Martin. Their daughter, Rowen, was diagnosed with leukemia at age 3. Their lives became all about her. Divvying up caregiving and still trying to live a normal life and raising a toddler as well. They quickly learned their strengths and became a team. Andrew was in charge of the at home chemo and treatments and Whitney was the "boots on the ground" at the hospital and with the medical team. When Rowen's cancer journey was over, Whitney and Andrew had to get to know each other again. They weren't the same people they were before. They made the choice to appreciate one another for who they have become.We talk about marriage and their lives during Rowen's treatment and their own healing once Rowen was cleared.
