I love good coffee. My son-in-law has perfected the process of grinding coffee beans and making fresh coffee. He has the whole set up with an espresso machine and all the barista equipment. On our recent visit with him and my daughter, he attempted to teach me how to make excellent coffee. It was a hoot! While my barista skills have a long way to go, we laughed at my attempts and enjoyed the time of just hanging out and making fresh wonderful coffee. I think it is important to make memories with those we love. Specifically, it is important to laugh together. Life is full of challenges and difficult times. It is also full of opportunities for us to see and appreciate humor in our relationships. There is science behind the humors as well. Our connections deepen and our brains work better when we enjoy times of levity with each other. Check out our most recent Relationshifts podcast where we discuss the benefits of bringing humor into your relationships and why it is important. It’s a fun episode that I think you will enjoy. This week, try finding humor in the simple experiences of life. When you choose to laugh a little, it will make a difference.
