How Press Taylor won the Bears job

The Chicago Bears have promoted Press Taylor to the role of offensive coordinator following the departure of his predecessor to the Ravens. Head coach Ben Johnson cited Taylor’s intelligence, organizational skills, and established rapport with the roster as primary reasons for the internal hire. Having previously served as the team's pass game coordinator, Taylor offers a sense of continuity for the offensive scheme and the coaching staff. A significant focus of his new position involves the ongoing progression of quarterback Caleb Williams, who achieved record-breaking statistics during their first year together. Taylor expressed a commitment to creative growth and aggressive play-calling as the team prepares for the 2026 season. Overall, the organization views this transition as a seamless evolution aimed at building upon recent offensive successes.
