As an alumni of ACU, he is a member of the ACU Council & a director of the American Studies Institute Advisory Board of Harding University, Searcy, AR. A world-class athlete at 19 years old & was on the 1960 US Olympic Track & Field Team that won the Gold Medal in the 1600 meter relay setting an Olympic & World record. He is a cancer survivor being diagnosed with AML on September 16, 2010. Out of that potential tragic diagnosis, he started Early Young’s Team increasing awareness & registering Donors of stem cells or bone marrow. I will let him expound on his accomplishments w/ this organization.
