How Riverstar Built the First RiverClan

Today we talk about Riverstar’s Home, the sixteenth Super Edition in Erin Hunter’s Warrior Cats series, revealing the origin story of RiverClan’s peaceful yet resilient founding leader. Long before he earned his leader name, he was Ripple - a tranquil, philosophical cat who was swept away from the cats of the park by the river. As the early forest cats struggled to mark territories and defend their borders in the wake of the Dawn of the Clans era, River Ripple sought a different way to survive, building a community centered around harmony, resourcefulness, and the soothing flow of the water. In this episode, we explore how Riverstar’s unique perspective shaped RiverClan’s core identity - from mastering the river currents and weaving reed dens to establishing a culture grounded in patience rather than needless bloodshed. We’ll dive into his past ties, the looming threats from rogue groups that tested his peaceful ideals, and how a reluctant loner ultimately embraced his destiny to lead his Clan through the turbulent early days of StarClan's guidance. Keep your whiskers dry and watch the current - we’re stepping back into the ancient history of the forest Clans.
