I am delighted to feature the wisdom-filled conversation on Burnout Avoidance with Karin Schoombee. Karin worked for close to 25 years as an Auditor and Finance professional for PWC and Global MNC’s. Stepping down from a high-stake role forced her to face the fact that she was suffering from burnout. Deep reflection on the root cause of her burnout uncovered misalignment between the roles she chose and her true passion, empowering people. Having been on her own change journey for the past 12 years, she has been steadily equipping herself with skills for her own personal development as well as for the benefit of the teams she was leading. After stepping out of the corporate arena, she decided it was the right time to pivot more towards her passion and to make a difference through executive and individual coaching and training. Karin has choreographed a “busting burnout” coaching program, geared towards individuals as a preventative measure to burnout. She envisions more open dialogue about burnout in an effort to educate and give a voice to those who are suffering.
