African Americans particularly struggle with self-identity because of the trauma we have experienced collectively in this country. Ebony M. White is the Community Outreach Coordinator at the Buffalo Center for Health Equity. Specializing in community engagement and relationship building supporting several initiatives improving access, education, and capacity building for members of the community. Her heart is always for the people, and she continues to elevate the voices of constituents. In its effort to create a community of care, the Buffalo Center for Health Equity is hosting a 4-week series of conversations entitled You Are Not Alone, a public space to talk about self-harm, suicide and what it means to live.
