How serious is Iran in wanting to end the war ?

Iran has delivered a new proposal to Pakistani mediators to end the war. The US now has the proposal and is reportedly reviewing it. It comes after Iran’s supreme leader vowed to protect the country's nuclear and missile capabilities. Is Iran serious in wanting to end the war, or will they continue to play the long waiting game?
