When a client hires you to fulfill a role for a service they need and brings you on to their team, it can sometimes feel like you are the “new kid on the block” trying to fit in. You don’t want to step on any toes, you want the relationship to be cohesive and function seamlessly, while at the same time owning your expertise and way of doing things that you are bringing to the table. You want to feel like you are a part of the team and not an outsider, and you also want to gain their trust and leave them knowing they made the right decision bringing you in.
