But is it appropriate for us to say this today? b. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” - Acts 1:82. The SPIRIT empowers our work (c.3-5) a. Why did Jesus Work? b. Why do YOU work?3. YOU are to be priests and ministers (v. 6) a. “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” - Luke 11:13 b. “I’m prepared to contend that the primary location for SPIRITUAL FORMATION is the workplace.” - Eugene Peterson, Christ Plays in Ten Thousand Places———Conclusion:‘and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”’—Luke 3:22
