HOW SOLOMON'S TEMPLE FORESHADOWS CHRIST LIVING IN US (1 Kings 6:16-20)

The structural and ornamental details of the Temple prophetically foreshadow the believer’s great privilege of being in the true church, the spiritual temple of God. Let us note thee following points :1. The most holy place of the Temple depicts God’s presence amongst His people, and prefigures the believer in Christ being indwell by the Holy Spirit. 2. The cedar-wood projections in the shape of sumptuous fruit and the blossoming flower shapes depict the believer’s new life in the power of the Spirit, and his ability to bear the fruits of the Spirit in all holiness of life. 3. The prevalence of pure gold depicts the riches beyond all comprehension possessed by every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. So let us realise our enormous privilege, for we ourselves are now the temple of the living God.Thank you for listening.
