How State & Federal Regulations and Resources Affect you | HaneyBiz Daily Webinar Series

from The Mark Haney Podcast · host The Mark Haney Podcast

The landscape is shifting hourly when it comes to potential regulations and resources as they pertain to employers / employees during this crisis. Kim Silvers and Stacey Sommerhauser from the SilversHR team joined us to talk about the new laws that were recently passed due to these extreme circumstances during the COVID-19 crisis. They walk through the Emergency Family and Medical Leave Expansion Act (EFMLA), Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act (EPSL), the tax credits that go along with these new requirements, and the resources that are available to employers to help them navigate through these new regulations. The last thing we need during this time of crisis is a law suit on our hands because we did not take the time to understand the new laws and regulations that are being passed. On top of that Kim dive's into the top 10 people-related mistakes she sees CEOs make during a time of crisis. There are many things that we cannot control during these times, but how we act and the decisions we make are one of those things.
