Doing well on a test has a little to do with knowing the information, but a lot do to with knowing the test; knowing what the teacher expects of you. When Jesus came, many thought the old laws would no longer apply, but Jesus says not only to follow the law…but take it a step further. He was letting the people know what was expected of them. Matthew 5:48 (NIV) Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Perfect τέλειος (Teleios) adj. Having reached its end; complete Philippians 3:12 (NLT) I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me.
