How they are still with us!

from NewChurch Live · host NewChurch LIVE

How they are still with us! The Continuing Presence of Our Loved Ones After Death Death hurts. When someone we love dies, nothing can simply “fix” that loss. The absence feels real. The silence can feel overwhelming. We often speak of seeing our loved ones again in heaven someday. The church teaches us to trust in life after death. But is that all we are given to hold onto as we walk through the sharp reality of grief? There is good news. There is more. There is comfort for grieving hearts. There is hope that reaches into the present moment—not only into some distant reunion. Join us this Sunday as we explore the ways our loved ones continue to be present with us, even after death. When Jesus told His disciples that He was going to leave them, that He would be crucified, He also said something astonishing: “It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you… You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.” (John 16:7, 20) What if departure is not the end of presence? What if love is stronger—and nearer—than we have imagined? Come and discover the hope that speaks to our grief and the comfort that meets us where we are. with Rev. Join us and have a listen! Wounded Warriors of the Cross Gary Pastoral and clergy mental health is a mostly ignored area, especially by those who live their lives as pastors in the clergy. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places.
