Slovak lesson1. socialisticka spoločnost (socialist society)2. socialistické školstvo (socialist education)3. vládnuca strana (ruling party)4. komunisticka strana (Communist Party)5. princípy marxizmu-leninizmu (principles of Marxism-Leninism)6. učebnice (textbooks)7. učebné osnovy (curriculum)8. učebné materiály (teaching materials)9. akademický výskum (academic research)10. vzdelávací obsah (educational content)11. "Stálo to za to?"  ("Was it worth it?")Sentenses1. Socializmus v Československu mal hlboký vplyv na rôzne aspekty spoločnosti, vrátane vzdelávania. (Socialism in Czechoslovakia had a profound impact on various aspects of society, including education.)2. Socialistické školstvo bolo úzko späté s princípmi marxizmu-leninizmu. (Socialist education was closely aligned with the principles of Marxism-Leninism.)3. Učebné osnovy boli navrhnuté tak, aby podporovali hodnoty kolektivizmu, ateizmu a lojality k vládnucej komunistickej strane. (The curriculum was designed to promote the values of collectivism, atheism, and loyalty to the ruling Communist Party.)4. Cieľom bolo vytvoriť novú generáciu občanov, ktorí si plne osvoja socialistické ideály a prispejú k budovaniu takzvanej „beztriednej spoločnosti“. (The aim was to create a new generation of citizens who would fully embrace socialist ideals and contribute to the building of a so called “classless society”.)5. To viedlo k značnému stupňu cenzúry a kontroly nad vzdelávacím obsahom. (This led to a significant degree of censorship and control over educational content.)6. Učebnice, učebné materiály a dokonca aj akademický výskum podliehali prísnej kontrole. (Textbooks, teaching materials, and even academic research were subject to strict scrutiny.)7. Od učiteľov sa očakávalo, že budú propagovať marxisticko-leninské princípy a viesť študentov k „správnemu“ spôsobu myslenia. (Teachers were expected to propagate Marxist-Leninist principles and to guide students towards the "correct" way of thinking.) 8. To viedlo k brzdeniu kritického myslenia a rôznorodosti názorov. (This led to holding back critical thinking and diversity of viewpoints.)9. Jednotlivci boli teda dobre vyškolení v technických zručnostiach, ale chýbala im schopnosť spochybňovať, alebo inovovať nad rámec zavedeného socialistického rámca. (Thus, individuals were well-trained in technical skills but lacked the ability to question, challenge, or innovate beyond the established socialist framework.)Timestamps00:33 Intro to the episode02:32 Update about my website04:52 About education under socialism15:11 Slovak lesson20:07 Sentences25:13 Final thoughts If you have any questions, send it to my email [email protected].
