How to Avoid an Identity Crisis by Reframing Your Sense of Self | Finding Growth in Life Transitions Not every moment is created equal. All to say, we can expect that pivotal moments will both challenge and inform our evolving sense of self, often in unexpected ways. Sometimes the only thing that is painfully clear, is that we aren't, and no longer identify with who we once were. Oftentimes dubbed the "identity crisis" that involves going out of your way to find experiences that will enable you to figure out what you now identify with, or what parts of yourself you can still identify with. This can be especially upsetting when this sense of uncertainty because apparent without you realizing it. While navigating the demands of life, some of us lost sight not just of who we are now, but also who we were, then. Life transitions, the people, places, and situations that signal obvious change - provide a great opportunity get re-acquainted with yourself.
