from Fuel Her Awesome — Mental Health, Aging, Nutrition & Healing Your Relationship With Food: gut-brain connection, emotional eating, women’s hormone health, food freedom, empowered eating · host Jessika Brown- Registered Dietitian, Empowered Eating Coach, Intuitive Eating Mentor, Boy Mom
Hello gorgeous! I'm so glad you're here today because I am so passionate about this topic, this idea, of differentiating between discipline and rigidity. This topic is such a crucial component in your healthy food and body journey, but it can also feel complicated. The gains are so worth it though, because when we can differentiate between discipline and rigidity things become a lot more clear. Now, if you have a history of struggling with food and body bullying, no matter where you fall on this spectrum, there's often a lot of healing you need to move through. This can sometimes bring up a lot of resistance or fear of pushing yourself, when it comes to food or exercise, because we don't want our healthy food and body goals to become obsessive or rigid. At the same time, we want to grow. So, in order to get to a peaceful space of growth, we need to learn how to differentiate between discipline and rigidity and get really clear on what those differences are. So today, I'm breaking down how to make this distinction so we can open the doors to food and body freedom! Please note this podcast is for general education purposes only, and any and all medical care needs to be reviewed with your provider. Cheers, and happy eating!
