How to be Humble (John 3:22-36)

The narrative resumes in this weekend's passage as we check in again with John the Baptist. He and his disciples were still out in the wilderness, baptizing people and calling them to repentance. But now, Jesus' disciples were doing the same thing, and it seems that John's disciples were a little jealous of how many people were going after Jesus instead. However, this jealousy would be short-lived, as John would immediately quell any notion that he was there to compete with Jesus. Though Jesus would call John the greatest born of women (Matthew 11:11), here we find an example of Christ-exalting humility every Christian should follow.
