Investing in land development can have its pros and cons and it is very much a team sport. People may even have limiting beliefs that you have to start small in real estate all the time. However, this week’s guest, Jaime Sanchez, Real Estate Investor, provides insights and advice on how to scale from the duplexes to 60-unit apartment buildings. He has done over $1 Billion in real estate development throughout Los Angeles, California over the last 10 years. He also has extensive real estate finance experience having worked both in corporate real estate finance and in real estate private equity. Most recently, Jaime is an equity member on the Angels Landing Development project, a $1.28 Billion mixed-use, high-rise in Downtown LA. Jaime led the development team’s efforts in the submission of the RFQ phases with the City of Los Angeles and is now leading the environmental impact report (EIR) phase of the project.  Jaime has built several successful real estate ventures including a real estate development company focused on mixed-use projects in the Log Angeles region and a real estate acquisitions company focused on purchasing multifamily assets in Texas.  Jaime earned his MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and holds a BS in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo.
