How to build a TEAM with Sarah Goehrke! - Making Awesome S2E51

from Making Awesome - 3D Printing, Inventing, Making, Small Business · host 3D Musketeers

We are joined this week by a previous guest, Sarah Goehrke to talk all about workforce development. She has a diverse background in multiple companies across the 3D Printing industry with a gamut of specialties, including Workforce Development. Let's face it. YOU CANNOT DO EVERYTHING YOURSELF, but growing, or even starting to build a team is TOUGH because no one will love your business like you. Sarah will talk all about how to build that team, how to train them properly, and ensure you only keep the best of the best of the best, sir (or ma'am in this case.. its a MIB reference..)  Some info about Sarah: Leadership evolution has seen me grow from the Editor-in-Chief of http://3DPrint.com (2015-2018) to the Founder of Additive Integrity LLC (est. 2018) and Managing Editor of Fabbaloo (2018-2021) to going directly into the industry as the Senior Director, Strategic Communications and Ecosystems at Nexa3D (2021-2022). Since it was established in 2018, I have been on the Board of Directors of Women in 3D Printing, and in 2021 established the group's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programming to extend the organizational focus to foster an AM industry more reflective of the world in which it operates. I am also a member of the Additive Manufacturing Coalition's first Board of Advisors (from 2022) and led Nexa3D's relationships with the AMGTA (from 2021) and ForestNation (from 2022). I bring a diverse background in manufacturing, editing, research and analysis, management, and the creative arts to bear in developing strategic approaches, building team strengths, and creating relatable technical strategies and content. A background in theatre informs my flexible and comfortable approach to the world -- and explains why the stage is a second home. I have keynoted from Ohio to Taiwan, spoken on panels from Boston to Frankfurt, and hosted events from LA to Nottingham. Speaking on topics from workforce development and DEI to the progression of 3D printing to a production-ready solution, I adore opportunities to speak and connect to audiences of all backgrounds and sizes, from board rooms and investors to students and PhDs. I consistently seek to dive deep to the heart of industrial 3D printing to understand both technology and workforce. I am also an outspoken advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. Shatter that glass ceiling, lead by example. __________________________________ Do you have an idea you want to get off the ground?
