Kim scott's bio: Kimberly (Kim) Scott is a Nurse Leader from the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds a master’s degree in nursing administration and business administration. With over two decades of healthcare experience, Kim has established herself as a nursing advocate, speaker, coach, motivator, connector, and author. She has a passion for coaching and loves to serve and speak about building community. Kim refers to the community as, Common Unity. Kim is a past president of the Bay Area Black Nurses Association, Inc., past Board of Directors member for The National Black Nurses Association, Inc., (NBNA), and immediate past national chair of the NBNA Collaborative Mentorship Program. In addition, host and producer of her yet released show Health Diary Conversations with Nurse Kim J on the Hip Hop TV streaming platform. She is a proud member of the Lambda ChI Chi chapter in Oakland, CA. Kim serves as board member of the Marcus Foster Education Institute. Kim has made developing the next generation of Black Nurses her business. She served as Conference Chair of the Florence Stroud Black History Month Nursing Conference Series for almost a decade. This conference addresses increasing diversity of the Nursing workforce and combating health disparity. Kim has worked for Kaiser Permanente for over twenty six years, and her current role is Service Unit Manager in the department of Chronic Conditions in Oakland, California. She started her journey at Kaiser as a volunteer. Kim’s proudest role is mother of her daughter, Sydney Beals, an inspiring young lady. Kim J.
