How to Challenge Thoughts of Inadequacy by Focusing on Adaptation | Being the Catalyst for Change ✅

from Support, Protect, Empower - The Project Purpose Podcast · host Rachelle Innocent

How to Challenge Thoughts of Inadequacy by Focusing on Adaptation | Being the Catalyst for Change ✅ Every day we step out into the world we make the choice to stand out or to blend in. If we are all being honest, most of us would choose to blend in and try to minimize any spotlight or attention, whatsoever. Totally understandable! Being the centre of attention can be intimidating and opens you up to receive both criticism and praise - from the people who have mastered blending in. But, so what? So many of us are hiding so many aspects of ourselves to be more palatable. We are loved for who we are not, and we limit our own self-expression and evolution as a result. Standing out can be difficult, it's often why in new settings we can feel inadequate and uncomfortable for all the ways we are different. Rise to the challenge, take the opportunity to reframe the feelings of inadequacy you may experience, into areas that signal the need for adaptation. In choosing to adapt and not to conform, we give ourselves permission to be ourselves and to stand out without apology. Do you have any questions?
