How to commit adultery

(Exodus 20:14) “You shall not commit adultery.”   Up to 65% of husbands and 55% of wives will commit adultery by age 40. (Journal of Psychology & Christianity)   The title of my message today is: How to commit adultery.   Five easy steps to commit adultery:  1)     Neglect your marriage. 2)   Enjoy common interests and form an emotional bond with someone else.  3)   Anticipate time together.4)   Flirt whenever possible. 5)   Make excuses and rationalize your actions.   Up to 65% of husbands and 55% of wives will commit adultery by age 40. (Journal of Psychology & Christianity)   Do whatever it takes: 1)   To significantly reduce the risks.(Proverbs 5:8-10) “Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house, lest you give your best strength to others and your years to one who is cruel, lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich another man's house.”   (Matthew 5:28) “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” 5 practical ways to reduce the risks:·     Keep a growing relationship with Christ. ·     Never be alone with the opposite sex.  ·     Never talk badly about your marriage with the opposite sex. ·     Surround yourself with strong marriages. ·     Avoid inappropriate places and situations. 2)   To invest passionately in your marriage. (Proverbs 5:18-20)  “May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe, a graceful deer — may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be captivated by her love.  Why be captivated, my son, by an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another man's wife?” 5 ways to invest in your marriage: ·     Get transparent.·     Get alone. ·     Get spiritual. ·     Get help.·     Get naked.3)   To visualize the destruction.(Proverbs 5:3-5) “For the lips of an adulteress drip honey, and her speech is smoother than oil; but in the end she is bitter as gall, sharp as a double-edged sword. Her feet go down to death; her steps lead straight to the grave.”  What % of people actually marry the forbidden lover?    3% What % of those marriages end in divorce?     75% What are the odds of a lasting marriage?    .075?   (2 Timothy 2:13) “…if we are faithless, he will remain faithful…”
