As we go through our lives, we can find ourselves living on autopilot, by default. When we live this way, our choices can disrespect and betray us. We can say “Yes” and commit to things that don’t serve us, that aren’t in alignment with our truth. And we can do this even when our inner wisdom is screaming, “No.” Over time, we can accumulate many subtle dishonoring thoughts and make decisions based on those thoughts. One common way we can easily disrespect ourselves is by believing that we are not good enough. Stepping into action from that belief dishonors us regardless of the outcome. Self-honoring is deep and pure action from self-love. It means learning to listen to the voice of your intuition and following it. Self-honoring means being gentle with yourself, having patience, self-nurturing, and listening to your truth. Truth is kind. Truth is not demanding. Real truth comes from unconditional love.
