How to confront someone with ease & effectiveness

from The Richard Martinez Show · host Richard Martinez

“An offended friend is harder to win back than a fortified city. Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars” Proverb Are you afraid to confront? Maybe you are on the opposite end and are too aggressive when it comes to confronting? If in someway you are leading others, effective confrontation will not only be vital to your success but also the success of the one you are confronting. Learning to effectively confront is a win-win for both sides. There's the feel good part of love that accepts them & loves them where they are but there is also the truth part of love that reveals to them what is hindering their life. Of course as you speak truth you are doing it in love showing them that you don't look down on them but rather see them as having more potential than what they are living in the present time. You don't need to try to disempower them so that you can gain control of them in order to "fix them". Your goal is to empower so that they can clean up their own mess & change their own life. Your love, AKA your effective confrontation says to them, "I'm not here to control you. I'm not here to disempower you. Actually, I encourage you to be mature by staying powerful during this confrontation so that your defenses don't come up & try to disempower me because of your fears. Let's both remain powerful during this confrontation"
