Namrita has been Acknowledged as the First Woman Pilot in the World to have flown in the Siachen Glacier after volunteering for a posting at an operational unit based at a high altitude airbase. She is also the First woman in the world to have landed at the highest ALG in the world Daulat Beg Oldi. She’s been featured in the Limca Book of World Records for being the First Pair of Sisters in the world to have flown together as pilot and co-pilot in an aircraftIn the year 2007, the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare, Govt. of India recognized her with the prestigious National Woman Achiever Award.Currently, she is working with a renowned Aircraft manufacturer and looking after Sales of Helicopters in India and South East Asia. In today’s conversation with Namrita, we dig into her life and what drives her, what are some of the finer moments that shaped her life.
