How To Create Authentic Art […maybe]

Rhath hosts Jason and Emkew to talk about authenticity in art, and how to maintain your integrity and voice. How do you know your voice is your own? The struggle to be authentic and truthful in art is very real for artists at every stage of their career. Here, poet Jason Voss and rapper Emkew share their perspectives on pouring their heart and their emotions into their music. From scrapping your material to improvise an honest poem, to rapping about drugs and partying in Ibiza just to fit in, this episode explores what it means to be real, and the lure of inauthentic art to find new audiences. Emkew performs his latest release, Detour, and Jason performs an honest poem about staying authentic.
