Raveena Oberoi is the dreamer behind Just Cakes Bakeshop. She’s a baker, pastry chef, cake artist, and entrepreneur. She’s been baking for nearly thirteen years and was self-taught until 2016. In 2017, she became a certified pastry chef. Since then, she’s won numerous awards for her mastery of cake, such as Van Foodster’s “Best Cake Challenge”, Food Network Candada’s “Big Bake Championship” title, Surrey Board of Trade’s Top 25 Under 25, and "Young Entrepreneur of the Year".She’s been featured on tons of home and food shows, such as the Surrey Fusion Festival, Richmond Food Festival, the Home & Garden Show at the Vancouver Convention Centre, as well as several other panels related to baking and business. She was also nominated for a Women of Distinction in BC award!Just Cakes Bakeshop is Raveena’s “big why”. She truly believes that the community she’s built with JCB is a part of her purpose and the vessel through which she can share the importance of chasing your dreams. In her own words, “we owe it to ourselves to explore the dream side of our brains”. Raveena has expressed transparency and vulnerability on many occasions, sharing that she found light in the darkness through baking. At a time where her confidence was missing and she felt disconnected from herself, it was baking that offered Raveena solace and it was the kitchen that gave her confidence.
