How to Deal with the Relationship between My Girlfriend and My Parents?

🔹Ven Pomnyun’s Dharma Q&A 2022. 3. 25. 🔹Question : I have a question about how to deal with the relationship between my girlfriend and my parents. Here’s the situation where I struggled a lot. So my personality is a bit introverted and independent and my parents, they also don’t express their care a lot. But I can feel, I know they care about me, they love me. But sometimes my girlfriend will be mad at me because of how my parents treat me. Because sometimes how my parents behave, from my girlfriend’s perspective it’s like ignoring me. So I understand both sides, they both love me. But whenever I hear complaints from my girlfriend talking about my parents, I understand her points but I just don’t really feel comfortable because I can’t change my parents. They have their own stereotype and their own personality. So I’m trying to find a balance in myself because I love and appreciate both of them.
