How to Disagree with Family without Destroying Relationships

 James 3:17-18 that says, “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 1. Be Peace-Loving  Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” James 3:18 “And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” 2 Corinthians 3:11 “Finally, brothers, rejoice. Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”  2. Be Considerate Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Titus 3:2 “Speak evil of no one, avoid quarreling, be gentle, and show perfect courtesy toward all people.” Matthew 7:12 “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” 3. Be Submissive 1 Peter 5:5 “Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for ‘God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’” Hebrews 13:17  “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.” 4. Be Filled with Mercy Colossians 3:12 “Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness , humility, meekness, and patience.”  James 2:13 “For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you?
