How To Be Confident In Any Situation
Release Date: 10/13/2021
Description: In this video, I cover how to build confidence 😀 in yourself, and how to get other people to be confident in you. It's actually very simple. Over the course of our lives, we have little failures that accumulate📉. If you grew up in a household where your parents frequently told you that you were doing something wrong ❌ , it's easy to look back and see why you may not have confidence in yourself. If the actions of an individual are consistently condemned as being "wrong" or being "failures", its easy to understand how this results in a general lack of confidence across the board in any new endeavor the individual takes on or pursues. Any action becomes strongly associated with a failure. How do you overcome this? The first step ✔ is recording little wins throughout your day. In fact, this can be presented outwardly as well by pointing out the little wins that other people have! When we start recognizing wins in others, we will be better at recognizing the wins in our own lives. To have wins, you have to be competent at something. Competence is the ability to do something successfully or effectively. If you are having trouble doing something, you simply have to learn📚 from people already having success with what you are attempting to do and apply the data to your own life over and over again until you become competent with that action. 💪Practice, practice, practice, and you will gain competence which leads to confidence! To gain confidence from your PEERS you need to display competence and punctuality. Confidence from your peers leads to promotions, raises, and new opportunities presenting themselves. Punctuality is showing up on time consistently. If you are looking to show your worth in an organization, get good at your job and show up on time every day. (Early is on-time haha!) How to be confident in any situation
Release Date: 12/27/2020
Description: The secret on how to become confident in ANY situation Does it sometimes seem like everyone around you is confident and sure of themselves? Chances are, they have doubts just like you. So what’s the secret they’ve discovered about how to be confident? They know that confidence is not something you have, it’s something you create. Being confident is nothing more than a belief in yourself. It’s the feeling of certainty that you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to. Confidence comes from within, and you can find ways to be more confident at any time. That’s not to say learning how to be more confident will solve all your problems. Everyone has bad days or moments that upset them. Being confident also doesn’t mean you’re completely sure of yourself at all times. Creating confidence is not about knowing it all; it’s about trusting that no matter what happens in a particular situation, you’ll be able to handle it and learn from the outcome. WHY IS CONFIDENCE IMPORTANT? Learning how to become more confident is important in every part of your life, but there are some instances where it’s crucial, especially at times where you feel like giving up. If you are a leader and in a position that requires being convincing and trustworthy, being confident is non-negotiable. No one will follow a leader who appears unsure of themselves. Lack of confidence can seriously impact your ability to put together a winning team and guide them to achieving your shared goals. Even if you’re not in a leadership role, confidence is vital to being a team player in many situations – whether you’re in a sales position or need to present a confident face during frequent client interactions. Being confident helps you make instant connections and build relationships that will help you and your company succeed. Knowing how to be confident in yourself is important beyond the workplace, too. Learning how to be more confident can help you attract a partner you can build a healthy relationship with. It can also help you effectively handle conflict and seek out new opportunities that will foster your personal growth. THE PRINCIPLES OF HOW TO BE CONFIDENT If you want to learn how to be more confident, you must be willing to change your state. Your state is essentially your mood at any given time of day. Your mood is influenced by how you feel about yourself at that point in time. The good news is you can change your state at any time – no matter what’s going on around you – as long as you know how to do it. Here are three principles of confidence that anyone can use to their advantage – and some real-life examples to help you apply them in any area of your life. RID YOURSELF OF SELF DOUBT AND ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS FASTER Discovering how to be confident in yourself isn’t an overnight process – it takes time. By shifting how you present yourself physically and what you focus on mentally, you can create confidence that will help propel you toward your goals.

How to Lend Money to Strangers
Release Date: 07/30/2021
Authors: Brendan le Grange
Description: A podcast about lending in all its forms and in all the markets in which it takes place, however diverse those markets may be. In fact, it’s a case of ‘the more diverse the better’ with guests from New York to New Zealand, talking about everything from crypto-backed mortgages to crowd-funded loans for refugees. I am the host, Brendan le Grange, and I have spent the last twenty years working in - or alongside - lenders across Africa, Asia, and Europe and I’ll be using that experience to find and learn from industry insiders in a series of weekly interviews. Sometimes, those interviews discuss the inspiration behind a new start-up, sometimes they look back at a career spent at the lending coal face, and sometimes they explore where the latest technologies might take us. In the end, if it shapes a lending decision, we’ll talk about how. You can join us every Thursday here, or wherever you prefer to find your podcasts.
