How to Establish Bible Authority

How to interpret the Bible has been a question for mankind since its completion. At present, suggestions on how the text should be approached abound; however, the most important question concerns God’s expectations. Has He given a book whose interpretation is left to the discretion of the reader, or has He given instructions concerning interpretation?
