How To Figure Out Your Calorie And Macro Goals

from Live Lean TV with Brad Gouthro · host Brad Gouthro

Here's how to figure out your calorie and macronutrient goals to get better results First figure out your Calorie needs by determining your BMR + Activity Factor Use this website: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ For people who are following our Live Lean training programs I suggest adjusting by the activity factor of 1.5 Once you know you calorie needs you should adjust based on 2 things: Your Goal Your Past Dieting History Instead of shocking your body with a new and drastically different about of food, you should work towards your new goal numbers slowly and over time. This slow and consistent change will be better for you mentally and better for you metabolism. Next determine your macro split. Most people have a sense of what food types give them the best energy, keep them the leanest, etc.. but if you have no idea then I suggest starting with an even macro split of 33% of each, proteins, carbs and fats. Now you are ready to use the rest of the steps to meal planning from last weeks episode "How To Build Your Own Meal Plan" Thx for listening!
