Hey everyone, welcome to mouth therapy and right now I'm going to talk about how to find core values As always I'm 18. They're going to say with a grain of salt. Don't know everything. Don't know 1% of what I have to offer but Here's what works for me I've been trying to find what my core values are to be able to kind of follow them and just know you know how to live my life and one of them one of them I know to be honest and Here's how I figured it out.
There's two things that are And that aren't telling me that it is for sure one of my core values for one If a friend violates this value to a certain degree it can be through lying through lying for example I know that I can turn my back in a second. I know that if Honesty as a value is violated to a certain degree. It has to be pretty big with a friend. I It's kind of scary how fast I can just not care about them in in a heartbeat and Secondly Honesty even when the truth might be uncomfortable the calmness of mind that I get of by knowing something whether it's rejection whether it's Whether it's a feeling that's not That isn't I don't can't remember the word But a feeling that isn't like the same between two people like me and another person It doesn't matter because honestly the calmness of mind that it offers me trumps any of those negative feelings And even if the negative feelings Trump the calmness or even if the negative feeling flare up for like in the short term I know that in the long term knowing it just just knowing is so much more Confitable to me and I like it so much more I mean I'd rather I'd rather someone be honest with me and say they hate me a friend that I've had for a really long time Then just feel like something something's off for a while or not know for a long time and then get a hint of it later And then learning little by little it's just that to me That's how you find core values find moments when you are offended And I don't mean that in a like typical way that we hear it I mean it find what think find the things in life that gets you pissed off get you offended and try to find out not what the other person Try to find out what it is about what the other person did that got you offended think about it as an introspective exercise not and not a you need to stop doing this exercise and I Think and find what gives you a piece of a piece of mind Because again for me honesty trumps any just talking about my feelings saying how I'm feeling not letting it Romanates in my brain because even unconsciously I know that I'm gonna make up I'm gonna make up a Ways of some something doing or this person doing is doing this why are they doing this maybe they're doing I know that even subconsciously my brain is gonna do that and it's gonna get me more and more pissed off Whether it's in a period of of three minutes or three weeks or even maybe not three months I wouldn't let it go that far and I'm not high in your this Neurodicism and I know that I do this so I can't I can't even imagine how much how painful it must be for some people so Yeah, I'm really not talking for too long.
I'm gonna keep it under five minutes Find what offense you try to think about why something offensive in life find what gets you peace of mind find out what it actually What it is that gets you a piece of mind and I promise that you will be able to find your core values in no time All right, thanks for listening and have a great day everyone
