This is quite a discrepancy, which proves that only a small percentage use their Avios account effectively. Avios is the British Airways frequent flyers currency, which originated in 2015. It is viewed and used as a currency earned by flying through British Airways and its partners. There are certain strategies you should use in order to maximise your frequent flyer miles. Switching your credit cards to Avios friendly services and booking hotels through specific portals will see to it that you receive the maximum amount of points. BA is the only airline, globally, which guarantees to release a certain number of seats for redemption; two business class and four economy class seats each flight.
