from 60 Seconds of Hope with Horace McMillon · host Horace McMillon
Send us Fan MailHow to Follow JesusJesus never once talked about attending church services, but he talked constantly about healing the sick and feeding the hungry. That is what it seems to mean to be a follower of Jesus. —Richard Rohr I was first licensed into ministry 30 years ago this year. I’ve since been ordained in two traditions. I had the privilege of serving 22 of those 30 years in pastoral ministry… I minister now virtually. There’s a place for organized religion, for tradition, for ritual, for ceremonies, for church, but without love, all of this is meaningless. Our job is to be students who learn to love and then carry that love into the world showing others how. We especially are called to carry love to the poor, the sick, the immigrant stranger, the imprisoned, to anyone marginalized by the larger world. This is what it means to follow Jesus. I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope.
