How To Get A Green Thumb (John 4:27-42)

If you come across a field on a farm, you expect to find crops come harvest season. In this area of North Texas we watch and see the corn planted in early summer and harvested a few months later. In John 4:26-42, Jesus pivots from his interaction with the woman at the well to call his disciples to see the harvest field of souls that was all around them. As followers of Christ, we too have been called to recognize our own harvest fields of souls as we each play our part in carrying out the mission of the church.
