How To Get Off Thyroid Medication

from Dr. Ruscio Radio, DC: Health, Nutrition and Functional Healthcare · host Dr. Michael Ruscio, DC

When you're sick and want to feel better, options like taking medication seem rather attractive. One thing to be aware of, is the over-prescribing of thyroid medication. Many people do not need to be on Thyroid medication for life or at all. Unfortunately, over-diagnosis is becoming too common. One study looking at the overuse of Levothyroxine Replacement Therapy, found that 60% of those on LT4 did not need to be taking it. The study concluded that the diagnosis needs to be more firmly established before treatment initiation and to undertake periodic evaluation of all patients on chronic LT4 treatment. https://drruscio.com/?p=27634 My new book is finally available: Healthy Gut, Healthy You.
