BUT, that small town high  school mentality is no longer a thing and it is not helping you. If  anything it is preventing you from showing up as your authentic self and  growing as a person. Plus there ARE people out there that will accept  you for just being YOU! You need to say goodbye to your old self and  welcome your new You. Get out of your own way and stop valuing people's  opinions that are no longer in your life. If you do this, you will  easily get over your content creation roadblocks.
