How to Get The Most Out of Your GP Menopause Appointment

from WomenKind Collective

In this week’s Episode we talk about how you can get the most out of your appointment with your GP or Menopause Clinic, and get what you want. Dr Lucy Craven, a Devon based Doctor gives us her advice from a GP’s point of view.We are on the penultimate read of our Book Collective read for this series, The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. We have a new Foodie Collective and it’s Funky Salads! We will find out how you’re all getting on with the WI #yogawcp28 challenge and did you know HRT can reduce snoring? And how our eyes (Jinty’s) degenerate as we go through menopause? There’s plenty of laughter and relaxed chat throughout this episode and lots of the usual fun and frolics. Your 10 minute menopause GP appointment will never be long enough to go through all the symptoms, HRT, the alternatives, and how to get your life back on track so we get advice from Dr Lucy Craven a GP with specialist menopause training to find out how you can get the most out of your GP appointment. The British Menopause Society has released 11 new standards to help you and your GP when you walk into that consulting room. We talk advice and guidance and make sure you have all the advice and guidance to prepare you for your appointment. The Book Collective is on the penultimate read of Anita Diamant’s The Red Tent, Dinah is starting a new life in the Valley of The Kings where the mundane and every day are a welcome comfort to her, until a ghost from her past resurfaces, her brother Joseph. Next week we read to the end. In our Food Collective this month as it’s Summer in the UK we wanted to put the sparkle back into your salad, so we’re giving you funky salads this month and Lou has delivered this weeks funky salad: Shit Green Salad…it tastes better than it sounds!
