She was working 2 jobs and wanted a fun community where she can express her creative side. Over a few years of following her passion, she grew her channel up to 100k subscribers. At that point, she was working at a bank. She loved it and saw herself growing there, but a great opportunity came her way to work with a huge brand, Maybelline, and to travel to promote one of their products for 6 months. She had to make a decision, choose comfort and safety and let the opportunity slip away, or dive into the unknown and the unstable paycheck. With the encouragement of her husband to follow her dream, she made the leap. She became a full-time YouTuber 5 years ago on her honeymoon when she had 100k subscribers, now she has 640k subscribers! “It’s worth knowing what’s trending, but don’t copy what someone else is doing because then what is unique about you?” What strikes me about Belinda is that she’s so disciplined and passionate about her work. She plans everything and ensures that she has consistent success and growth on YouTube. Some of her videos take 7 hours to film… 7 hours!
