How to Hear the Voice of God in Community

Finding God's will and hearing His voice is very personal yet at the same time it is not? We are a part of a community of believers and everything we do has a knock-on effect within the local church. So, do we seek God's will alone or do our leaders find God's will for us? When do we go to leaders and ask for guidance? Whose responsibility is it for the final decision?
