How to Keep Kids ENGAGED during Distance Learning in Elementary Music + FREEBIE!

from Becca's Music Room · host Becca Davis

As far as distance learning with music, I definitely find it more difficult to engage the older kids. Most of the things that work in the classroom, we can't do online (like instruments!). I also run into issues with it being a bit weird. A lot of things like singing and dancing are fine in my classroom, but feel different at home. The fourth and fifth graders love to dance in my classroom, but are less inclined to dance at home by themselves with their headphones on. And to be honest, I completely understand it!These tips will focus mostly on those older students.Happy teaching!BeccaNeed more virtual lessons?Online music lesson course: https://beccasmusicroom.teachable.com/p/teaching-elementary-music-online/Virtual Music Lesson ebook: http://beccasmusicroom.com/virtual-music-lessons///IN THIS VIDEOZoom Lesson PDF FREEBIE: https://mailchi.mp/d001706e689a/zoom-activitiesZoom video 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zy89Yvf0cgAZoom video 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0t5OlNJ-iswWhole brain teaching book: https://amzn.to/3icjHSRWhole brain teaching course: https://wholebrainteaching.com/certification/Nearpod: https://nearpod.com/login?referer=/library/Pear Deck: https://www.peardeck.com/googleslidesFlidgrid: https://info.flipgrid.com/Slides: https://www.google.com/slides/about/Jamboards: https://jamboard.google.com/Carmen Virtual Field Trip: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Beccas-Music-Room/Search:virtual+field+trip?utm_source=BMR%20Youtube&utm_campaign=Engagement%20Strategies%20ZoomSwan Lake Virtual Field Trip: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/Beccas-Music-Room/Search:virtual+field+trip?utm_source=BMR%20Youtube&utm_campaign=Engagement%20Strategies%20ZoomInstruments Boom Cards: https://wow.boomlearning.com/deck/q-HYnYGtKqvqCqFNSox?ref=tptKahoot: https://kahoot.com/schools-u/Quizziz: https://quizizz.com/Want to get access to exclusive content?
