It's easier to report analytics. With everyone going online there are certainly going to be fatigue; therefore, it's upon us to do some fundamental things. Here are four strategies you can utilize during the crisis that facilitate even greater accountability than traditional training and learning methods:1) Read a book - assign a book every single quarter and have people share by posting comments on tools like slacker Microsoft teams what they learned and more importantly what they successfully applied as a result of the learning. This takes knowing person time and helps avoid fatigue as well as increases accountability versus traditional training and learning methods.2)  Watch a video - what if people were provided to video every week that they had to watch and narrate what they learned and what they can use from the video in the workplace to successfully solve a problem?3) Supply an article of the week - what if an article was supplied every single week and people had to highlight the parts that they felt they learned the most and more importantly in a different color highlight the area of the article where they took that information and successfully applied it in the workplace. 4) Put employees in charge of their own learning - we teach something called a self-directed learning matrix. It's a simple concept and its awesome for onboarding and continuous learning and more importantly for learner accountability. A series of tasks from reading articles to reading books to interviewing fellow employees are put into a format where the employee has to complete them by a certain date and time. The tasks are identified and time segments and signatures are required for completion meaning the learner has to teach what they've learned from each item. This actually saves time from traditional training and learning more importantly demonstrates initiative and accountability on the part of the learner. If you want a cope of a SDL matrix send me an email with SDL Matrix on subject line at: [email protected] Welcome to Coaching Conversations We have created a NEW and Innovative line of books called Workplace Coaching Books.
