'How to Love'

from Pacwoman · host Pacwoman productions

A poem by the - mind blowing - 13th century Afghan/Persian poet Jelaluddin Rumi that I set to music for baritone and piano in 2008. Although I’m not a massive fan of the western European ‘classical’ singing style there's definitely some beautiful moments.. ‘In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art.’
